Monitor becomes a finalist in the ISA Virtual Pitch Challenge!

I stumbled up International Screenwriters’ Association and I figured, why not pitch Monitor to some industry professionals? The ISA Virtual Pitch Challenge asked participants to film their elevator pitch in 90 seconds.

Monitor – where privacy is a crime

This was my pitch, and to my surprise, I became a finalist in the competition! While I wasn’t selected to be one of the four winners, it was good to be recognized. Making the video was fun, but challenging! The script, lighting, sound, and even my awesome costume all took thought and lots of preparation.

The International Screenwriters’ Association (ISA) is a screenwriting resource and community founded by filmmaker Craig James Pietrowiak. The organization was founded in 2008 with the mission to provide resources to emerging screenwriters.

About MONITOR: In the country of Seaboard, you are connected, or you are deleted. The server rules over all, and those who would choose to live as Disconnects find themselves hunted by the Axons. These elite soldiers have one task: to protect the integrity of the network. Follow Eric, a rogue Axon, and Talira, a Disconnected radical, as they race to escape the heavily-policed city-state and find freedom among the free-born peoples living on the fringes of society. Explore the ideas of connectivity and what freedom truly is. Who makes the truth and what does it really mean? Who decides your fate in a world where computers know your every action and desire before you do? What would you sacrifice to be free?
