Writer/photographer/diplomat Damian Wampler teams with artist Andrea Montano to bring a new perspective to a classic tale of revenge called Arrowhead.
Damian Wampler signed comic book deal with Canadian publisher Lucha Comics, making this his second book signing in 2020. Lucha Comics, in imprint of Shooting Star Press, will make Arrowhead available in digital and print formats.
What is Arrowhead? Arrowhead is a futuristic adaptation of Moby Dick set in deep space. Arrowhead encourages middle school youth and early teens to engage with Melville’s classic work. Arrowhead Volume One will cover chapters 1-71 of Moby Dick.
We are NOT as spoof or parody of the work. I’ve tried hard to make the source material as deep, complex, funny, touching, action-packed and emotional as Melville’s text really is.
Arrowhead brings literature into the hands of young readers. Arrowhead takes a classic story and makes it colorful, vivid, exciting, and attractive to youth, yet accurate to the source material.
