Photography

My images are a window into a world within a world, where time moves to a different rhythm and every gesture is a brushstroke painting a picture of resilience and identity. I call it fine art documentary – a visual poem speaking of roots that grow deep, even in foreign soil, and of flames of culture that refuse to be extinguished by the winds of displacement.

Below are works from my past projects.

Darfur in Brooklyn (2008)

Roma of Slovakia (2002)

Chinese Workers in Tajikistan (2011)

Face Value 2008

16 Women (2012)

Echoes of the Pamirs (2010)

Orphans of Kyrgyzstan (2003)
